About the project
We were tasked in the three-storey house in the Norwegian capital Oslo with designing a staircase that would blend stylishly into the monochromatic interior decorated in calm tones.

On one floor, we separated the staircase from the living area with a graceful wall of thin, vertical solid oak planks. It gives the room a light and graceful feel, also serving as a partition and a subtle accent.

Harmonious ELEGANCE
In order not to block distant views opening up from the windows, we installed a half protective wall on the other floor, which, creates a sense of integrity and harmony with the folds of the curtains. To maintain elegance, we kept the staircase structure laconic. We attached stair treads to the walls using seamless joints and concealed screws, thus giving lightness to the stairs. The handrails are solid, without any elements. LED lighting that echoes the stair line creates a perfect accent.
